Brief
Encourage local Londoners to make drop-in visits to the National Portrait Gallery, and challenge perceptions of galleries.
Idea
Raise awareness of the Portrait Café, and suggest a visit during lunch break from work. This is done by visually combining portraiture and food/drink, which is then supported by the strapline.
Teabags can also be sold from the Café, with tags showing characteristics that describe both the tea flavour and the subject in the portrait on the reverse. This literally reinforces the ‘drop-in’ concept, and acts as a reminder whenever one is dropped into a brew in the workplace.
